ANDALUCIA, SPAIN

Rose-ringed parakeet, Cadiz

A wildlife and photography trip to South West Spain, October 2021

01

Blue skies, azure seas, lush parks, tree lined squares and monuments bathed in golden light. Nearby Los Torunos and Bahia de Cadiz reserves sheltered waders, small birds and wonderful Osprey.

02

One of the most amazing wildlife reserves I've ever been to, supported by local communities and conservationists. Home to the elusive Iberian Lynx, raptors, farmland and wetland specialists and stunning storks.

03

Venturing into the hot and dry highlands north of Seville, it's crammed with wildlife including the majestic Eagles, Hoopoes, Shrikes, Woodpeckers and hundreds of circling vultures.

04

Marshes of global repute, the salt flats are speckled with raptors and waders both resident and just passing through as is Isla Cristina and the Palos Lagunas areas along the coast.
